Scholarships

Harrison District Two Federal Credit Union is proud to offer scholarship awards for members with active accounts who pursue higher education. Members who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning in a certificate, Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, Graduate or Graduate Certificate program are invited to apply.

Scholarships
Gardner Scholarships – Two awards are given in memory of the late Charlie Gardner and his wife Mitzi. Charlie was a Principal in Harrison School District and a very early member of the credit union. His wife Mitzi was the first manager of the credit union and is still a loyal member. $1500 each

Sam Hanson Scholarships – Sam was a longtime teacher in Harrison and strong credit union member. To honor his many years of service to education, his family and the credit union created two scholarships in his memory. $1500

Kathy Figenshau Memorial Scholarship – Kathy was a longtime HSD2 employee and HD2FCU board member.  To honor her many years of service and stewardship, the credit union created a scholarship in her memory. $1500

Robert E. McCoy Scholarship – Bob McCoy was deeply connected to the Harrison Community through his work in the finance office and was a staunch member of the credit union. To honor his memory, his family established a scholarship to be awarded to a Harrison or Sierra graduate. $500

Eligibility

  • Eligible HD2FCU member
  • Accepted or enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning in a certificate, Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, Graduate Degree or Graduate Certificate program
  • Must complete and turn in all required elements of the application by the posted deadline 

Restrictions

  • One award per recipient will be given per year
  • Recipients may re-apply annually
  • Graduate programs ARE eligible for this award

  • Current Transcript (2.0 GPA minimum)
