Scholarship Program

Harrison District 2 Federal Credit Union is offering three $1000 scholarships for students who are credit union members. Any District 2 student is eligible to open an account in the credit union. The credit union has 2 Gardner Scholarships that were set up to honor the many years of service to the credit union from the late Charlie Gardner who was a principal in the district and his wife Mitzi who was the first manager of the credit union. In 2001 we set up a scholarship in memory of Sam Hanson who was a teacher in the district for many years.

In addition to the credit union scholarships the family of Sam Hanson gives a $1000 scholarship in memory of Sam. The Robert E. McCoy Scholarship is for $1,000 and is available to a Harrison or Sierra Graduate. This was set up by Bob McCoy's family to honor him.

All members of the credit union who are planning to attend college or are already college students are eligible to apply. No preference will be exercised when awarding scholarships for any applicant based upon sex, race, religious affiliation, family status or school of attendance.

All five scholarships can be applied for through the credit union. Applications are available in the credit union, District 2 High School Counseling Offices and on-line.
